This event will be available 8/4/2026 1:29:00 PM.

Saturday September 5

1:00 PM  –  2:00 PM

Making close observation is important for the health and happiness of animals in zoos. While walking around the zoo, scouts will learn what behaviors zookeepers need to keep their eyes out for and what it can tell us about our resident animals. After their zoo exploration they will be able to get an up close encounter with one of our zoo residents to make even more observations.

  • This program covers Steps 1 and 3 of the badge requirement
  • Step 2 must be completed separately

All scouts must be accompanied by a troop leader or adult chaperone to attend Girl Scout Day. Adults may register only if they are accompanying an individual scout or troop.

Additional chaperones or children attending with the scout but not participating in the program will receive 20% off general admission tickets.

Parking is not included in the registration fee. Coyote Point Park charges $6 per individual vehicle or $20 per bus, payable at the park entrance.
